How we handle the personal data of people who write to us or stay with us.

The availability form collects your name, email, phone number, stay dates, number of guests and any message you write. At check-in Italian law requires us to record guests' identity documents and transmit the details to the State Police's Alloggiati Web portal.
To answer availability requests and manage the booking (performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures), to meet police-reporting and tax obligations (legal obligation), and — only with your explicit, freely revocable consent — to send promotional messages.
Data from enquiries that don't lead to a booking is deleted within twelve months. Data from completed bookings is kept for ten years, as tax law requires. Data transmitted to the police follows the retention periods set by public-security legislation.
Technical suppliers that let us operate (website hosting, email service, property management software), all appointed as data processors; public-security authorities where the law requires it; our accountant for tax compliance. We do not sell or transfer data to third parties for commercial purposes.
At any time you may request access to your data, its correction or erasure, restriction of processing, object to processing, or receive it in machine-readable form. Write to info@casasciara.example. If you believe the processing breaches Regulation (EU) 2016/679 you may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority.
We do not transfer data outside the European Economic Area. Should that become necessary, it will only be to countries covered by an adequacy decision or under standard contractual clauses.
